Shanthamma Y.ThimmaReddy (S.Y.T.R) Government Degree College Madakasira established in the year 1991. It is from historical place under dynasty of Sri Krishnadevaraya in Anathapur District.
In the beginning there were many newly sanctioned colleges like Agricultural Engineering College, Horticulture Polytechnic and GeneralPolytechnic Colleges but they were shifted in their newly campus latter.

Our College has 4 NSS Units including 1 self-Unit. As per Schedule given by Sri Krishna Devaraya University, Ananthapur. Many awareness camps are conducted to educate the village people on public welfare schemes and social evils through Regular Activities and Special camps. Based on the performance of the NSS Units, the University is sanctioning the new units gradually. Our NSS volunteers participated in National Integration Camp, National Adventure Camp and P-RD Camp. Many foreigners visited the NSS Special Camps.
